POSP 4x mount for VZ58

Hey there. Finally joined the VZ58 club today.

Looking to invest into a POSP 4x scope, as well as some nice wood furniture for this thing. (Can't say i'm a big fan of the folding stock.)

Any idea if this mount would be able to accept a POSP 4x? Doesn't have that inner groove like other mounts i've seen, so i'm left a bit unsure on this one. Any help would be much appreciated!

It will however use POSP with AK mount for the rail you have. SVD mount will be bit too close to your face however if you have different then factory stock you will be ok

The stock on the gun currently is tiny. But I am planning on getting it replaced at some point. If not make one myself to fit.
 
An SVD mount POSP will not work PERIOD with that mount. An AK mount POSP most likely will but the optic will sit unnecessarily high. Both SVD and AK mount POSPs will sit a little too far back when mounted in that particular area of the receiver. The SVD mount POSP will sit further back than the AK as well like mentioned above.

shells hitting the scope may also pose a problem**
 
There used to be shell deflector on the market at least for SVD mount it did not work for AK mount. If I was you I would use one of the Russian made offset mounts for red dot. You can find them on ebay. Then scope sits just to the side no issues with ejection
