POSP mount on SVT-40

Has anyone tried to install POSP side rail on SVT-40? Was it solid, are receiver walls thick enough for the job

Not many fans of drilling and tapping here my friend.

And in my opinion, as well as fact, the receiver walls are quite thin, not sure Id want to put screws into them.

There are repro mounts specifically made for the SVT-40, provided the rifle has grooves and a blocking notch at the rear of the receiver.
If you have an SVT-40 without any grooves, don't do anything to it: this configuration is not frequent and is valuable for a collector.

I totally understand that it would be a cool set up - but I wouldn't drill and tap your SVT-40. As cool as it would be, you'd ruin it's value as a collector.

Its funny , everyone says svt's hate prc ammo, yet Tradex sell a svt with a case of prc. You would think that they would be getting a lot of complaints about the guns not working.
