Possible CZ 858 reclassification?

Uh, The document in question, states the 'Family of VZ rifles' did anyone else notice that it also says the 'AR family of firearms'? Maybe the held shipment is a completely different issue than stated in this 3 year old Report.

The reason they use that wording is that it is the type of wording used on the banned by name list. In other words, they want cabinet to prohibit those firearms and all variants of them by name because they cannot do it themselves otherwise.

As I remember the NDP got the Lib's to take that out of the constitution before they would agree to the repatriation of it . The socialist ideal is that no ones owns property , it's all for the common good . As to what happened in the past just ask me . A $150,000 worth of firearms waiting in gun safes to meet the grinder . As somebody mentioned earlier , didn't cost the government a dime . Take a look at the educrats too .....punishing kids who even draw guns . Social engineering at its finest .

That is correct. From Wikipedia:

"There have been calls for section 7 to protect property. In 1981 the Progressive Conservative Party suggested that section 7 be extended to protect the "enjoyment of property." Some provincial governments, including that of Prince Edward Island, as well as the New Democratic Party, opposed the change. The NDP thought that if property rights were enshrined in the Charter, other economic rights should be added. In September 1982, after the Charter had been enacted, the government of British Columbia approved of an unsuccessful amendment to section 7 that would protect property rights.[19] See Unsuccessful attempts to amend the Canadian Constitution for more information."

Where it gets sticky is this: 1) The bill of rights, which predated the charter (brought in by Diefenbaker) included the "right to own and enjoy property". 2) English Common law includes property rights. 3) The charter does not actually grant anyone any rights nor does it limit the rights we have to those printed in it. Our rights are a forgone conclusion and are not granted nor can they be taken away (they are subject to reasonable limitation under law). Even though the charter does not mention property rights, we do have them. It's why the government must pay fair compensation for expropriating land and they cannot simply take it.

Right, my point is I think the document is old news and the held shipment a different matter.

You know - let's say Wolvarine brought in 500 rifles with each shipment (1000 rifles total). Does anyone else not realize that IF these rifles get released, the price for them will go up $100 each to cover the $100,000 RCMP/Customs extortion fee? No business would just swallow that kind of expense.

If they brought in LESS (or more) the price would adjust accordingly...

Big joke for someone who probably has nothing to lose ? By the way when you grow up you might like to play with real pussies !

From Faith Goldie.....straight from the RCMP:

I received an email from RCMP Corporal David Falls today…

In it, an explanation for the re-examination of the#Swiss Arms Classic Green rifle:

“The Canadian Firearms Program is currently reviewing the Swiss Arms PE90 Classic Green riflefollowing a complaint from a firearms business client.#The review#will be#based on#the criteria in the#Criminal Code#and in the#Regulations Prescribing Certain Firearms and other Weapons, Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunitions and Projectiles as Prohibited or Restricted

.In previous correspondence, I asked if the#Kriss Vector#and#CZ 585#were up for re-examination as well? Here’s what#RCMP#tell us:#

”There are no reviews currently being conducted on any other firearms.

”However, we know from the following#CanadianGunNutz#post by North_Sylva that the Kriss Vector had its FRT number pulled.

North_Sylva wrote:Info regarding KRISS FRT#We just wanted to clear the air in light of the current situation in the Canadian firearms community regarding the pulling of FRT numbers. The big question is “Has the FRT # for the KRISS Vector been pulled?”

The short answer is#yes. The FRT number has been pulled, but the firearm is not considered prohibited. We are currently working with the RCMP to get this issue resolved, and I have no doubt that everything with this particular firearm will be back to normal shortly. There are a lot of rumors circulating at the moment, and I don’t want any misinformation regarding the KRISS firearm floating around. We have suspended the sale of this firearm until the issue is resolved. Thanks,The North Sylva Co.

I spoke with John from North Sylva, he confirmed the#Kriss Vector FRT number is temporarily suspended. Here’s what else he told me:-

John says he’s in regular contact w RCMP

, says#they’re hoping to restore FRT # within 60 days-

Kriss Vector is not under re-examination according to his knowledge-

RCMP say this was#based on a misunderstanding of the origin of firearm
-#

Retail of Kriss Vector suspended#for now

Following the above correspondence, I put in a request to RCMP for an official statement on WHY the Kriss Vector saw its FRT number suspended. Will let you know as soon as I receive word!

if they seize those 2 shipments they better damn well pay for them

it is super super grand theft imo

taking people's stuff more or less a gun point with no compensation is wrong regardless who does it

from memory the ONLY difference between the cz858 tactical 4v and tactical 2v was that the first was restricted and the latter was non restricted (other than the chrome lined barrel)

Is it just me or is the main criteria for being "full auto" is that the gun is non restricted ergo not registered ergo the RCMP want to "register" it by making it prohibited?!?!

this "full auto" thing must be just rampant or they wouldn`t worry about it so much.certainly must be some kind of phobia cause i have never heard of one up here where the police do the robbing:)

Don't buy the BS that you don't have property rights in Canada. Property rights are an essential part of British Common Law, which applies in Canada as it was enshrined in the BNA Act of 1867 and again in the Constitution Act in 1982. Just because property rights are not spelled out in the Charter does not mean you dont have them, you do and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

British Common Law also gives the right to bear arms, and someone tried to fight the Canadian courts by using that argument. They lost.

If you had showed us your wife in the first place that would have really added something to this post ........ don't want to see cats . The only thing that trumps guns is beautiful women !

This reminds me of highschool 10 years ago, when the kids that wanted to be cool would openly talk and brag about the drugs they do and the girls they bone. We all know that the ones that really did that stuff kept their mouths shut.
Sadly as we all grow up and realize that the ones who brag the most are the ones that never actually did those things.
Be a man. Put your money where your mouth is and prove it.
