Possible loophole for ban/confiscation

Only the frames are considered firearms.....hand them a stripped frame.

Exactly what I will do if the worst happens. Hitzy, I've agreed with you twice this week - something odd is happening.;)

Stripped, crushed, rusty. The other parts will stay with me.

But we aren't there yet - I'm seeing a huge groundswell of frustration and action all over the shooting community.

Why take them down there.Just bury them up here and say you sold them to some American friend. What can they do.

Illegal - hence can't be discussed on the board.

As to what they can do - charge you and ruin your life with court fees even if you stay out of jail.

Lets limit discussions about illegal options guys. First off the police read this board, and second off it's against the rules.

What we CAN do today is fight. We have a choice - we can either sit and moan or go sign up for the CPC volunteer teams and try to help win as many CPC seats as possible.

If you love your guns - go volunteer.

The liberals must lose this time if you have any hope of keeping your guns.

target shooters, will have to meet certain criteria, how many sanctioned events, what calibers, etc..... well if you don't your out turn in you guns

Collectors will also have to meet certain criteria, you'll have to prove your an expert on the type your collecting, good luck.

Add on new storage requirements, hmmmm central lockups that will make turning in the guns easier for the gov, they will allready have them.

basically we have to get the liebrals out this time.

FIGHT DAM IT

Worry about what your going to do if we lose later.

The person receieving them in the US has to apply for a BATF form 6, which you have to duly supply a filled out copy of to the CFC, who will only then remove the listed firearms from your name. (been there, done that) Legally, I believe the government holds you responsible for your firearms no matter where they are. You also need a form from the BATF just to take them with you when you go south. Not easy, but doable. I tend to prefer the Ghandi route, passive resistance to a morally bankrupt government (he also blamed the Brits for keeping firearms out of the hands of his fellow Indians, who knew he was a gun guy?) - dan

So lets say the day is won, then what , wait till the next time. I am sick of this , and not in a sick way that Liberals would hope, ie turn in the towel. Pissed / sick of this constant bashing of good folks.
Why would a Country follow in another countries foot steps that lead to failure , or is loss of life part of the formula here. So we loose a bunch of Canadians in the cities, most of em are bad. Well what of the statement that even one person loosing his or her life is un acceptable.
2 faced piece of tainted goods. I sure hope this time will haunt them involved , and they can suffer loss as did most all of us, and our parents, protecting them from wrong doing...

Look I think our only option is to get the provincial government to see the light. Alberta is already hinting it will not confiscate peoples property. Now if the other provinces will do the same, it would be a huge road block for the feds. We are target shooters. Not thugs. letters are our only defense. Write a letter. lets show them that we gun owners are civil people and not yahoos/ thugs. You know the registery hurt. but I accepted it. To take my property? What about the guns that was passed down from loved ones that are no longer? Now it has to be destroyed? Target shooting has been a lifestyle for me for the last fifteen years. Now I might lose my hobby. Its no different then banning golf. Imagine that, People live for the sport. Freedom is gone. Did you know my local gun store sold 50.000 rounds of 9mm last year. All to legal gun owners. I doubt he will be open for long with the ban. I feel closer to all of you right now. We must protest together. Remember this board is a god send. Imagine if we did not have this network to communicate with each other. I think this board is home base for the fight. I think of this more as a club. We should have memebership cards. and more regional gatherings. If your a member of this board you are a member of every gun club that supports it. Now we have more events and more gun owners exposed making this sport bigger then people think. CGN is our base camp for our fight to save our sport. Sorry if I trailed off the topic. I needed to vent.

We can protect the west - but ontario's gov't will buy into it 100 percent. Quebec's too.

we need EVERYONE, especially people in ontario, to volunteer for the CPC.

It makes a HUGE difference. Do it.

And ball bearings... seed the areas with ball bearings... they are going to have to work for everything.

Great minds think alike. But buried guns are useless to me. So I'd rather fight for the right to not only keep them, but be able to go shoot my guns. That's what its all about.
