Possibly Dumb Question But...

Alright so I have a scope mount for my CZ 527. Unit is CZ brand. My question is what in the heck is the proper procedure for mounting a scope using this mount?

For starters, I am guessing that this mount does not require lapping? Also what is the procedure for tightening down the rings? Do you leave equal gap on both sides or have one side fully down and leave the gap on the other side?

Final question is what is the procedure to ensure that the rings are lined up? Each of the rings are held to the mount using Allen screws. If you loosen the screws the rings will turn. I was thinking I should loosen the screws, mount the scope, then tighten the screws down again.

CZ doesn't seem to have any intructions for this posted anywhere online. I am the second owner so if there was instructions with the unit I don't have them. Thanks in advance.

This is how I do it,
Mount the scope bracket on the gun, barely tight enough to stay put,
Mount the scope in the scope rings, again just enough to stay in place
Pick up the rifle and look through it, you want a full clear view, no black shadow around the edges
Move the bracket and the scope until you have that nice clear view and enough eye releif.
Once you have it positioned properly use a little blue loctite on the bases and tighten them down.
Then do the same on the scope rings.
Boresight the scope
That should get you on paper for final zeroing at the range.

Makes sense but that doesn’t answer any of my questions.

Yes, loosen the screws holding the rings to the mount, place your scope to line up the rings, remove scope and tighten screws, being careful not to move them. Check alignment.

Then attach mount to rifle, but don't tighten completely. Then place scope in with correct eye relief. Once the rings are tightened, now you tighten the mount to the rail.

Always equal gap both sides. Use a white piece of paper to clearly see the gap.

Perfect thanks
