Post a pic of your SVT(S)

There's some real nice SVT's in this thread! What is the rifle on the far right below?

That build of yours inspires me to be a better SVT 40 owner! Picture a variation of yours in a laminate stock, not as polished as yours, but a "field" version

Yah I made Natasha as more of a show girl. A laminate stock will look real good. Best of luck with your build, be sure to post lots of pictures!

The twins....kinda...

Did you polish the carrier on the first one or did it come that way? The experts on CGN say they all came with plum carriers out of the factory. I've read differently on some other sites...

I got it that way from anothr cgner, i think it was plum originally as some of the finish is still present on the underside.
Kinda like the shiny finish.

I tend to believe Horilkas statements about the bluing starting in 41. That being said, a refurb should be in a proper refurb state imho.

The thing with refurbs is that yeah there are some common things to look out for but really who knows what went on 50,60 or 70 years ago? I am sure record keeping wasnt top priority during some of these times. Anyways gotta love their little "quirks" :)
