I love straight grip BLR's, but only the short action. I really should shoot the ones I have in my collection. I just don't get around to shooting that much any more. For hunting I have been favoring my Micro Medallions for the last few years. Seriously thinking about downsizing.

I really wanted the takedown, but by the time I was ready to buy, they had stopped making it :( I've got a blued/walnut pistol grip in .243. I'll grab some pictures for you fellas when I've got it at the range in the next week or two. Scored a good deal on a couple spare mags yesterday too. You don't get to say that very often :)

if you really want a TD model you will find one.

Built a .358 Win BLR when I couldn't find one. Or rather, Bill Leeper did on a new .308 BLR I found unwanted and languishing at a Canadian Tire. Bought it for $450 NIB, sold the takeoff barrel, unfired, for $200.

And with the QD scope rings off when serving as a camp gun or bear wrench while out huckleberry picking (hammer back so doesn't get into the detail of the rear sight)

This cast load settles things pretty quickly

Anybody who says a .358 Winchester is a "bush gun" has never reloaded the 180 and 200 grain spitzers in them

I got a hog stalker takedown in 308 with the green and brown laminated stock on it. Love this little rifle. And it shoots way better than any lever gun should.
