I just replaced my Surefire Brake with a Badger Ordnance Micro FTE Brake. The look of it is way better than the Surefire on my rifle because of the Barrel contour. But it does give up on recoil reduction compared to the Surefire. I don't mind it at all, but my wife can really feel the difference.

Are you talking about the surefire MB556K 135$ @ brownell'S BUT protected by ITAR so price jump here used around 200$ WHEN you can be thrust to have it of course haha

Believe it or not machining one up even on a CNC machine requires numerous steps plus tool change to contour the outside of the brake, mill the chambers and bore then thread.

I got my Surefire SFMB-762-5-8X24 7.62 SOCOM Muzzle Brake for $169.99 from CTC Supplies. But after shipping and taxes it came up to $215.24. Then again I did pay for XpressPost Shipping.
