post your .22LR handgun

Just arrived a few minutes ago. I picked up the Fast Fire this morning at LeBaron. Need to get a few more mags (have 3) and the Burris rear sight dovetail mount so I can get rid of the Ruger rail and knix the front and rear sights and go with red dot only.

Heres to a summer of fun cheap plinking. :D

The CZ on top wears a kadet 22 conversion unit and I like it just a little less than my Ruger MKI. The second photo is my S&W M43 and it is the best of the Kit Guns. Regards, Richard:)

I bought this gun new in 1976, an 18-3 S&W. It's served me well over the years and is still in nice condition, as the picture shows. My 19-3, 357 mag. S&W Combat Special was expensive to shoot, in 1976, so the 18-3 was my practice revolver. The 18-3, K frame S&W is the revolver my Son learned to shoot with and he still loves it.

S&W Model 2206 TGT Stainless

This is one of the very first pistols I ever bought and it still shoots like a dream. I can shoot impressive groupings, freehand, from 50-60 yards away.

Last year I put 550 rounds through it and it was still functioning fine - a test of sorts.

It is the top of the line model TGT ("target") which gives you the full size barrel and fully adjustable sights for starters, plus wooden grips. It is also stainless, which makes it the top of the top of the line of all of the S&W .22 family of pistols (2206, 622, 422 etc.).

This one's a keeper.

hevangel,

Where in Canada can you get the .22 conversion kit? Now I have a reason to buy a Glock!! How does it shoot? I'm liking this setup.

I got it at Reliable Gun Vancouver. It feel exactly like the 9mm, except with less recoil. However, it only work with the the more expensive CCI ammos, it doesn't not work with the cheap .22LR ammos.

Thanks for the info hevangel,

Could you please elaborate? Do you mean cheaper ammo has poor accuracy? Or it won't cycle cheap ammo?
Thanks.

I was told by the gun shop that cheaper ammo won't cycle the receiver. I haven't try anything other than CCI in my 22LR glock. CCI almost double the price of cheap .22LR ammo, however it is still much cheaper than 9mm.

More like "might not cycle".
No harm in trying out some bulk ammo in your conversion. I'd start with the Federal 550 packs but I've got other .22's to shoot it with if it's not reliable...
