I'm looking to learn from the experience of others and maybe save myself some time and money in the process:) I've got some good stuff from the search function but I'd like more recent info.
Just got my new Savage 12LRP/260rem. With a few modifications and once I get it all dialed in, it's going to become my new 800 yard competition rifle for ORA Precision. I'm starting with Lapua brass and Federal match primers. I have a supply of IMR4350, Varget and H4831SC. For bullets, I've got some 140 Amax and 140 Match. 139 Scenars are next on the list to try.
Please post your favorite accuracy load and help me get going in the right direction.
Cheers

I am using 47.2 grains of H4831SC behind the 140 Bergers, for excellent accuracy and velocity.
Please start 3 grains down and work up safely in your firearm.
Regards, Eagleye.

I have been shooting 42gr 4350, CCIBR primer in Lapua cases, with Sierra, Berger and Lapua bullets in the 140 gr range. Velocities are running ca 2850 with all.

I have the Savage 12LRP in 260 also. My load is 43.5gr of H4350 CCI large rifle primers. I find this to be a very accurate load for it.

start at 42gr H4350 and go up 1/3 gr till you find it! I am guessing between 42-43.5gr.

I use 43.5 with 123 Scenars for my go-to paper punching load, and 42.5 worked good with 140gr Amax's.
