I'm planning to pick up a Tikka T3X Lite in the near future. What are you using for rings? I know it can't have a huge impact but I'd prefer to keep things as light as possible. The scope I'll be using has a 1" tube and 50mm objective lens if you have any height recommendations.

For my T3x 308 Battue I picked up a 1" Warne Tikka Med height quick detach rings. A direct mount to the Tikka without having to buy an extra base for weaver rings.

And for my under 100 yards hunting application I'm using a Leupold 2 - 7 x 33 but maybe switching it out to a slightly lighter Leupold 1.5x - 5x scope.

Talley lightweights in low should clear. I had lows on a 42mm scope and there was almost 3/8" clearance between the objective and barrel. I'm using extra lows now. They are probably the lightest option you will find and a very good quality ring.

I'd buy a scope with a smaller objective lense. This will allow for lower mounts and a better cheek weld to the stock for better shooting ergonomics.

It might not look as cool, but it will work better.

Thanks. Been trying to find a DNZ mount in 30mm, but I can only find the 1" versions around.

I just bought to of them off a seller on ebay, then I used nylon 30mm to 1 inch adapters so if i upgrade my scopes down the line I have the option to go up to a 30mm tube

If you want light, forget the Warne rings as they are ridiculously heavy. Talley LW’s are very light and strong but if you want a steel ring that’s fairly light check out the Burris Zee rings signature or regular.

+1 on the Warne Rings. I am currently running a Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42 on my T3x with the medium height Warne Rings. They are very nice. Sintered steel rings, so they are slightly heavier than other options like the Talley lightweights, but they are rugged and look great, plus they fit the factory T3x dovetail as others have said. There is a fitment guide for what height Warne rings you will need on their website. You input your rifle, and scope and it tells you what to buy.

To bad the warne rings make the scope sit to high :-( even with a 44mm bell it sits 6mm High of those mediums, I ordered a DNZ low mount instead to hopefully bring down my scope 4mm so I can have a good cheek weld with my Bell & Carlson stock. Its cool they use the factory dovetails but its pretty much useless if you dont make low rings...lol...
