Afternoon folks, ive been wanting to join something like this for a long time but i haven't been able to find anything in the Canadian community or on this website unless it was from 2007 so ive decided to host my own postal match. For those who don't know what a postal match is, it is a online, honesty based competition. There are rules in place, these will change from event to event.

this match is the first of hopefully many, please be patient with me as this is my first time doing this.

This event is Rimfire Unlimited — Standing Position

i have made a google document with all the rules

https://docs.google.com/document/d/15QkeB5lFjxhcvS9DNbikT_7aa3ig7_JTVzT4Jn4C0Zk/edit?usp=sharing

a quick break down of the rules before you check out the link

Eligibility: rimfire only, rifle or pistol
Target: Must use target provided, printed on a standard piece of paper (https://www.crooked-bend.com/uploads/1648394713969.pdf)
Distance: exactly 25 m / 82 ft (bring a measuring tape) from shooters front of foot
Sights: ANY irons, scope, red dot, etc are allowed
Position: standing, unsupported
Sling use: allowed only as a brace
10 scoring shots
Ammunition restrictions: only ammo that fires a single projectile, so no rat shot
One attempt per firearm
Multiple entries allowed with different firearms
Required target photo
Each firearm will be treated as separate entries

i would like to make this a monthly event (id continue the event year-round when practical)

Thanks for your time, give me some feedback as it would be appreciated :)

Nice pic of your shooting buddy ! BTW, I use 60# 'card stock' to get cleaner holes OR use 'spray adhesive' to attach printed targets to cardboard.

Went out with my 10/22 and 1403. Im still trying to regain strength in my arm.

But thanks for putting this on.

I got home tossed the 1403 on the scale, 10.5lbs. No wonder I was struggling.

Thanks. But just did it for fun As rules state 25m and I did it in yards.

Houndog takes it.

I would change the rules for scoring, to the more recognized if it breaks the line, you are rewarded the highest value. As we don't have shot scorers. It is easier for online scoring.

Target I would change to NRA B8 center style as it be universal. As you know the 8 ring is 8 inches.

oh crap i didnt see the yards, my apologies, yeah Houndog takes it, but im still glad you where able to participate.

do you know where people could print this targets off? Im trying to make this as low cost as possible so i wanted to try out printing the targets first. do you have to buy those targets?

Oh I like this. Will deffinetly enter next months.

This weekend I running my first hopefully monthly rimfire match at my local range. One of the 4 stages is standing unsupported. I love shooting in this manner but from all the members at the range j have seen practicing I getting the feeling not many share in my enthusiasm for shooting like this.

A target we used alot here for off hand pistol.

For best printing results, when the print window opens, set the "Page Scaling" to "None" or "100%", depending on what software you use. Paper size is standard US Letter 8.5x11 inch
