Here is a silhouette postal match using scaled 10m targets. Measure out 33ft and try your best. It doesn't need terribly expensive or powerful equipment.

I will be shooting with my HPA QB and probably a 1377.

Looks like lots of fun and an easy way to get your off-hand shooting to a higher level.

WOW!!! I'm out of shape and been spoiled with benchrest shooting :(

It was fun and posted my results for week #473.

Need to keep practicing...

I've got to get back at this. I used to try to submit a target every week but have been slacking off. It's great practice and will improve your shooting although it may seem impossible for the first while.

OK I think I can do this...where'd I put that range finder?...hmmm 33 ft eh...and scopes are allowed...sounds like a barrel shoot to me...or not!

Hmmm printed the silhouette out but the 1 " measurement came up 7/8"...any ideas...I can't do anything in paint to correct this as the original is a pdf file and isn't recogized in paint.

Reprint it at 114% and that should get you the correct scale. If not just throw it on a photocopier at the same magnification.

Yes, first timer and got 20/40.

Used my .22cal S410 Xtra FAC and at the lowest power setting. Leapers 8-32x56@8x. CP HP unsorted.

Shook like lone leaf on a cold day....

I like this one over another postal match out there cause I don't have to do all that scanning/photocopy my target, post it on a on-line photo storage and then post a image link and so on for every postal match I post. This one is fast and simple.

I hear ya on that one, I shall never take my sling for granted again. :D Haven't tried to post results yet; easy, is it?

Easy meaning submitting your results? Yes... very. Just enter in your info and data result and click "Verify" and your done. No need to post a picture of your target.

Entered my results tonight... which are not so awesome. *gulp* Good incentive for more practice -- any practice, really! This was my third time trying standing position so I'm going to Google it and see what I can find to help me improve. :)

ROC, pretty sure it's only the blue ribbons that count in real life. :D

This was fun though, going to try to keep it up each week. I'm too used to using a sling for fullbore/prone -- any tips from the more experienced on here, on how to keep things steadier?

This should do it:

The silhouette hold is very different then a 3p technique. I find it one hell of a lot harder, but improvement comes faster.

I made an attempt with my pistol at 18ft last night with little success. For some reason I began to suffer a power loss that will require some investigation.
I'm going to shoot it with my rifle this weekend, I think that 20/40 is probably a realistic goal for me.

This is how I hold my S410...

... but need to build up my strenght again because the S410 with the Leapers scope mounted is heavy.

Humbling to say the least. I can shoot around a fairly poor trigger on the bench, but man do I start to notice a crap one offhand.
I couldn't hold at all on 15x today, going down to 10x helped a lot. Unfortunately my gun leaked-down from last night so there was no way to get a chance to shoot the match. I will have to hump my scuba tank to the range next time.

Unfortunately my gun leaked-down from last night

I'm starting to notice that too... the indicator is at 170bar when I fill it, then by the time I detach the scuba tank adaptor it's down to 150. By the time I finish a 60-round practice match, plus a group of 12 standing, it's down to between 40-50. I was quite sure when I used it for the first time on Jan 1, that I was getting about two shots per bar.

Does this mean there's some debris in the reservoir?
