Postal Shutdown and the EE

I was wondering if anyone knows if the couriers that will carry firearms will accept shipments from individuals or is it business accounts only? (I've heard the latter)

I see a few things I'm interested in on the EE but don't want to say "I'll take it" only to have the gun sit with the former owner for the summer.

From what i know most courriers will ship.

Just recently went through this hassle and I have found the following;

You can ship Canada post/Canpar/Purolator no problem as long as it is ground service.

UPS - I called their hazardous materials line ( or something close to that) he said that they will only ship if one of the parties is a pre approved business/distributor. Their customer service line was useless.

I don't know how ups or DHL stay in business...
