In December the public safety minister said there’s going t be another one in February. This had people thinking it would be at the end of last week since February was almost over and it hadn’t happened yet. Might be tomorrow, who knows.

In December the PSM was Dominic LaBlanc and the House wasn’t prorogued so circumstances were a bit different when that was announced. Will it matter? Don’t know but we can hope so. The new PSM has been pretty quiet since he was appointed and the government is also a bit preoccupied with all the tariff crap as well.

CCFR: Public Safety likely to announce new gun bans tomorrow (Mar 7). Public Safety Canada has issued a media advisory for a technical briefing and press conference beginning at 10:00 AM EST tomorrow.

Not going to be banned in all likelihood. Every time a gun ban announcement comes everyone gets jittery that the SKS will be up on the list. Does everyone choose to have the memory of a goldfish with these announcements? The FN band councils voted unanimously to oppose ANY ban attempt on the SKS, and would not comply with any confiscation order. There's A LOT more of those than AR-15s in the country, and unless they want Oka to took like a day at the park I doubt they'll go for it. If they put the SKS on any ban list after the pushback the first time I promise I will eat my own shoes.

I don’t really need to as if they ban all pinned mags or AR15 pistol mags, I’ll have so many prohib devices at that point what’s the difference. That said I guess a now unpinned 20 round mag is no more prohib that a pinned one. So there ya go!!
