Potential world record deer article

I think it's an incredible buck but don't agree with how they're scoring it. If they're counting common base points now then the Zaft buck is the record.

It's actually pretty funny that this & Hansen's deer were both shot in the horns and had to be repaired. I don't doubt I would freak out & put 1 in the horns too if I ever came across a deer like that.

I would have had a serious case of buck fever too in front of a bruiser of that class. The King Buck had a completely broken antler, the Hanson Buck wasn't broken off but only nicked. Under the old B&C rules, the King Buck would have been disqualified.

Based on the pictures I agree that the G3 on the right side is a non-typical point.

There is another deer that is a potential world record that had a few tips repaired for aesthetics and subsequently disqualified from the Boone & Crockett book. If you have ever seen the "Magnificent Seven" photo done by King's Outdoor World you will be familiar with the deer. The "Indian Buck" was a non typical that gross scores 440".
