Hello everyone I have a question that I can't find the answer for regarding the 1809 potsdam. I have seen on a few rare occasions Potsdam 1809 muskets with totally different style of butt stocks with different trigger guard tails that have raised finger notches in the brass. The butt stock has almost a raised cheek rest instead of a cut out cheek rest that you commonly see on the 1809. There is one for sale on Collector source website in poor condition for a reference. If anyone e could answer my question It would be well appreciated. Here is a link to the rifle. Thanks
Kevin

Just sold mine last year to a friend.Ex cond, worked well, and for a lot less than that one For Sale. As you say raised check piece is not something I have seen. Cut out like on the 1809's as well as 1795 Springfields was common. Fancy brass T guard I did not see either. $700 + Tx and ship for that 1809 in that cond. No, worth about $400.
