Have a 870 Wingmaster I'm converting for sporting clays.
I would like to color the action only with a red/burgundy with an extremely durable finish. Some say Gun Kote others have it powder coated.
I worked at a factory(assembled farm equiptment) that powder coated everything.... I wouldn't use it on a gun, its just not realy meant for it. Better than paint, but scratches easy I thought.
Powder coat goes on thick. You will have to clean it out of the holes for the trigger group pins, etc. http://www.armacoat.net/
Canadian made. I haven't used it yet but from what I've read on here it's very durable. Plus the owner is a member of CGN.
I use Gun Kote which is rugged as well.
