This is poorly fomatted, but might be useful to those of us who like to experiment. I have listed powder densities in descending order, with water being 1.000. For a given case capacity as measured with water, you can closely approximate how much of 183 different powders could fit in the case.
This is most useful for those of us who like to work with "overbore" cartridges, or with slower powders than typically listed by the major powder manufacturers. If you don't know what I talking about, it's best to move on to something like a "Loading for the 308 thread".
Looking at the list, for example, once you've established that your cartridge has 70.0 grs of water of usable space, you will know that approximately 21.0 grs of trail Boss (70.0 X 0.30) or 52.5 grs of Blue Dot (70.0 X 0.75) would "fit". That doesn't mean it would be a safe load, just that the cartridge could hold it.
