Powder dispenser/scale combo question

You can also check out smart reloader, and hornady they both have simmilar units... I have heard alot of people return the lyman unit and get another brand... I have been using RCBS scale and dispenser for 10 years now nothing has gone wrong with it.

I have used the Chargemaster 1500 also and the new LNL auto measure they both also work great

If you search on "chargemaster" you should find a few threads on things that have gone wrong. IIRC, the displays sometimes go dead. I think RCBS will replace them under warranty, but you are out of action while the dead one ships back to them and the new one ships out.

BTW, I have a Chargemaster combo and it has worked fine for me so far, but it is only a year old.

I have a Chargemaster combo and it's worked great for me also. I keep it totally covered with a plastic bag when not in use and it still looks brand new.

I had a chargemaster combo and it worked great for a little over a year and then the keypad went (pushing buttons resulted in random, or no results). I emailed RCBS and told them the problem, and I was up front with them that the warranty was expired, but I still wanted help, as the unit had only thrown 600 - 800 loads. They told me to send them like, $45 USD, along with my old unit, and they sent me brand new unit. No problems with the new one at all. Can't argue with that. I also like that the RCBS can be programmed to throw loads faster or slower; I don't know if other models are programmable in this way.

I have a Lyman DPS 1200 3 which is newest version. It's been in use for a year. Have weighed approximately 2000 rounds. The only issue is with static electricity. The cause is probably of my own doing.
I like it.

i have had the rcbs for 5 years now all good as for the static keep your scale & powder dispenser on a bounce sheet stops the static;).

Whoa...I didn't know that! Maybe I should have read the directions? :p

How do you do that?

I have the chargmaster also. Never had any problems and always worke fine. But, on the othe hand, I have a friend that I talked to last nite and he is on his 3rd chargemaster. Not an impressed camper seems the key pad is screwing up. Good and bad in everything.....Ken

I have the Hornady and it works OK for what I do. Easy to set up. Power adapter - no batteries. I wish it wouldn't run over as often as it does but I'm still playing with set up.
