powder drop tubes ?

Model railroad and some model airplane hobby shops will have racks of K&S brass tubing in 1/32" size steps from 1/16 to around 1/2 inch. The walls are all just a hair under 1/64 so they telescope into each other. So a good fit is pretty easy to find.

They come work hardened from the drawing process. But if they are annealed with a propane torch the brass becomes very workable for flaring or crimping down.

A drop tube funnel cost me about $15 from Sinclair. For that price, I couldn't be bothered to go to the effort of making one.

I havn't had a chance to look at the what's on the market... it's too simple a device to buy when I can make soemthing in 5 minutes for 50 cents...and it wouldn't be plastic !

The funnel is plastic, the drop tube is metal. And the $15 included the funnel and the drop tube.

As to the funnel being plastic, I have had the same funnel for several years, and it being plastic, certainly hasn't been an issue.
