Powder for semi- auto 223 Ar-15

HI folks!

May I have your opinion about powder used in SEMI AUTO AR-15 for 223.

I used the IMR 3031 in a DIllon 550b but it's jamed alot. I think the litle cylindrical powder cause my probleme.

Now we try IMR 4198 and its more easy to measure.

Any suggestion for AR-15 only I dont care if its good in bolt action? Ty

I use H322 in mine, switching over to Varget after this bottle is done

Ramshot TAC is a fantastic powder and runs great in a progressive. If you want to run an extruded kernel type powder with any success you most likely will have to polish the innards of your powder measure as a minimum.

I run H4895 for my general .223 plinking loads in my Dillon 550. No issue.

If you're loading on a progressive you will probably find ball powder easier to deal with than extruded. I'd be looking at Win 748, BLC-2, or H-335.

reloader 10 works sweet in my 550

WC 735. Only reload data I have found is "5% faster than H335". It is cheap, works great in my AR with 55 gr bullets.

I get really good groups with Benchmark with the 55 gr. bullets and it meters just as good.
