I picked up a Remington 700 in 300 Blackout. I have no idea what powder to use. I'm gonna use medium-heavy cast bullets at subsonic velocities.

See is you can find some CFE-BLK... it is proving to be fast and accurate in the 300 BLK and 7.62X39... are you planning on using light or heavy bullets for your subsonic loads?

As mentioned aboce CFE-BLK or AA1680.

When I had my LMT AR I was loading 10.2gr of AA1680 - nice and quiet never had any issues cycling and hold open on empty.

With you having a bolt gun you can go even lower powder charge.

Its a fun caliber fo-sho

Canada Ammo's D4198 would be a cheap option as well.

For 210gr cast rifle loads in 7.62X39 I'll use 10 Gr UNIQUE and get ~ 1400 fps. If you went lighter sayyyy 8 gr you could be subsonic. UNIQUE is very easy to light so small charges work great with it.

I use A1680 for my 208gr subsonic loads.
I also have a load with Trailboss and 150gr pills that it a fun subsonic load in a bolt action.
Bolt action really opens up your options once you don't have to worry about cycling the action of a semi auto.
Buy a new Hornady manual and check the Hodgdon website. There's also quite a bit of data on the internet forums if you search around for it, just be careful with other peoples loads.

Here's some data that I found a while back (before there was much published data).
