powder not burning completely causing Squib loads.

I do use a sonic cleaner and on occasion I use a lube on the cases... a few drops of linoleum inside of a bag and I shake it up.... I bet that is doing it....

Try the Ewok method of reloading your cases.

If you use carbide dies there is no need for case lube, the way you do it you guarantee trouble!

This is the source of your problem likely aided by moisture in your cases from cleaning. If you are not chronoing your loads or trying to meet a prescribed power factor for one of the shooting games then if I were you I would stick to a mid range load listed in any loading manual. Several have been mentioned on this thread. If all you are doing is plinking at ranges, which is fun incidentally, then you should be good to go. For chasing the most accurate load for your gun then you may have to spend some time testing various loads but it is all part of the fun of shooting. Good luck.

Take Care

yes... it was in fact lanolin tht was causing the contamination. I shot 100 rds yesterday.. no issues.. fairly accurate... I do better with my 6" barrel opposed to the 4"... anyways no more case lubing for me....
