going to start reloading target load for 9mm probably with 115 grain 124 grain or 147 grain bullets (round nose)
I see a multitude of powders and not sure where the heck to start and which ones will work better than others for different bullets.
Appreciate any and all knowledge on the subject

You might find that the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center might be a good place to start:

Hodgdon Reloading Data Center/

You will be able to build a list of powder choices there and then do your shopping for any of those that you can find.

For example, under 9mm Luger; 115 gr. there are eleven different powders listed (Hodgdon, IMR & Winchester)

I like Titegroup, picked up 20# 2yrs ago so have no idea how hard they are to get these days.

Blue Dot is my favourite for 115gr and 124gr. I am firing a 124gr bullet in the low 1200's using a lower end charge. Super flashy too for days at the indoor range.

RedDot/Promo works well for 9mm, .40 and .45. These days they burn a lot cleaner than they did a decade ago. I have used them in all three calibers for something over twenty years and am well satisfied with the results.

Been using w231 but once I'm done I'm using titegroup. A lot of people double charge with titegroup though since you use so little. It's easy to double charge.

Almost all of the powders (except for a few that are shotgun only) on this chart from Longshot and faster will work for reloading 9mm:

Pick whatever you can find in that range and work with it.

I am currently using Universal Clays, because Wholesale Sports in Calgary had 8lb jugs of it. It is similar to Unique, but meters better and is less smoky. Other powders I have used include Titegroup, W231 (aka HP-38), Accurate #2, and Bullseye.
