I am looking at working up a load for my 300wsm and was wondering if anyone could give me some powder ideas that have worked well for them. I have some imr4350 but haven't worked with any others as I am very much a noobie to reloading. Thanks

Years back when 300WSM reloading data wasn't as available as it is now, I worked up a 200gr load using imr4350. Accuracy was very good and the velocity wasn't too shabby either. Why not try what you already have on hand?

I'm using H4831SC with 165 grain Interbond bullets. 65 to 69 grains so far gives decent accuracy in a Sako A7. Not quite as good as I can get with the same bullets out of a heavy barrel 300WM, but still decent, around 1.25" for 5 shots. I'd like better.

I'm sure there are powders that will make a difference. But don't be surprised if you try the 4350 and you get results that don't need improving upon. This powder has worked well for me in many cartridges over the years. You might find the same.

H4831SCC for 270WSM / 65-68gr / Mag Primers / 140 gr partition for my sako

Not far from 300 WSM , may be start 5% light loads for heavy bullets

Imr 4350 is a bit faster than imr 4831 and H4831 sc

i am loading 60gr of imr4320 with 168gr sierra gameking bullets. been messing around with my OAL and have it right about as long as possible. Gun is an X-bolt synthetic stainless. last 3 shots had 2 in same hole and 3rd about 7/8 inch out. probably was just me. Gonna try again but of course now it is friggin pouring out. hopefully get at it again when the rain stops

This one works for me

This one probably shoots better than my ability. My range at home is 110 yrds cause the backstop had to be moved back due to all the rain and high water. I am sure people will be wondering why does he shoot at 110 lol

I load for 325 wsm and tried a bunch-o-powders to find what the gun liked - RL 17 & 19, 4350, 4007sc, and 4831.
worked up and settled on a 200gr accubond, 4007sc, win primer, 2970-2990fps consistantly, no pressure signs - yesterday got 3 shots in at 0.7" at 200yds - it was the bestout of the lot

I tried out a few loads with 4350 last night and was really happy. I used 74.5gr and CCI magnum primers in my sako A7 300wsm and shot cloverleafs in 4 of 5 groups at 110yrds. I guess there is no point in tring to tighten that up. BTW I am shotting 180gr Accubonds.

Is there any appeciable difference between H4350 and IMR4350, aside from the need to work up a load with each. IMR seems to be in short supply lately, and I can get some H4350.
