So I see powder as just going up now with the dollar. As precaution I've recently received 6 kegs of H335 for .223 use at 216 bucks a keg. Considering everyone else is already selling it at 299 or higher I think it's a good move. I also picked up kegs of Varget, 3N37 and H4350.

Anyone else doing this? I can't see anything getting cheaper for a long time.

Powder prices are very regional in Canada, here in S. Ontario prices have changed little since early 2013, yes the dollar is going to increase prices a little bit, but there's still a lot of price gouging going on out there, I've seen 1/lb of powder being sold for $45+ in some stores out west.

Gents, in Ont there is plenty of powder. The shortage/price increase is caused by histeria of the masses purchasing what is avail out there. Hence driving up the deman and prices. I do agree that prices have gone up with the falling dollar, but the majority of the price increase is the demand. I purchase a lb or 2 every payday and this keeps me in powder and not breaking the bank since I am finding powder out here for 30$lb on average

Maybe around Toronto there is lots, not so much in eastern Ont

Some of our stores have imposed limits of 2lb per person per day or 1 8lb keg, seeing as how it's a 2hr return trip to nosale sports and they have such a limit I was "forced" into buying 2x 8lb jug's the last time me and the missus went to town... Benchmark and H4895 worked out to $33lb...

I'm not hoarding or I'd of went back the next day and took the other 2 8lb'ers they had... Powder is a "get what you can, when you can" item around here these day's.

I got 3lbs of titegroup at Lebarons in Markham a couple of weeks ago for $23/lb, and they seem to be getting it in fairly regularily. I just wish I could find some 296

Check the EE. There is a fella advertising many pounds of it...if it is still available...

EDIT: oops, sorry, in BC...10 pounds though...worth a drive from ON? :)

Probably not a bad idea if you have the cash for it and not putting it on credit and paying interest on it.

This hobby will soon be for only the rich, Ive never seen a hobby that stresses out a guy more then firearms and I question why I still shoot at times.
