So been working on the man cave/reloading bench last weekend got the desk built got the safe installed everything going along, Now am working on some storage cabinets for up above.

Is there any requirment for storing powder/primers? I am going to have it locked just becuase I do have kids in the house.

My FIL works at a high school and the metal shot guys might be able to build it for us would only have to pay material. Was thinking of just using the same steel that stack ons are made out of but what gauge is it?

Or can it be made from wood? like just build an MDF box paint it black call it a day.

the cabinet will be 73" long divided into 2 comparments each with double doors that lock.

Wood is fine, long as its locked and marked as explosive.

Stack on cabinets are somewhere around 16-18 gauge, easy to build a box with a lid if they have a shear and pan brake in the shop, make sure with either wood or metal you have a few vent holes in the box so if it ever got touched off it can vent instead of blowing up... A half dozen 2" holes with some screen riveted or screws holding it in place should do just fine.
