Anyone aware of a company that sells powder samples/variety packs? I'm not a high volume shooter so a pound will last me quite some time. It will take me years to try a variety of powder that way. Thanks
 
A good friend and i exchange powder of different types to try them out. I would only do,this with a person i trust. I have been given powder that i wouldn`t use because i don`t like surprises and didn`t trust the source. If you can find somone you can exchange with that is your best option. Yes i have lots of powders in my reloading supplies as well as bullets, but i enjoy trying different combinations. To answer your question, no i don`t believe any company sells smaller packages.

Hodgdon used to offer packages which consisted of a few different powders packaged together in small containers. There were a few different versions containing similar powders. I haven't seen these offered for a while though and don't know if they available currently.

Each Xperimental pack contains four 4 oz. bottles of different powders best suited for each caliber listed on the box. Each Xperimental pack will be specific, i.e., Hunter, Rifle, Light Varmint, and Magnum Rifle.
