I'm getting back into reloading and having a real hard time finding and powder anywhere. I phoned around Edmonton to start. Now looking all over Canada without much luck. Looking for 9mm and 40S&W. And ideas?

You can try one of the following (both in Ontario):

htt p://www.lawryshootingsports.com/page/contact-us

htt p://www.hummason.com/page05.html

Thanks, I sent and email to both. This is nuts. Ammunition supplies are drying up and so are the reloading supplies. There's a form of gun control I didn't see coming.

I'm feeling the pain too man. Just posted right behind you.
I seen another member from Texas offering up powder to ship to a Canadian member
(Not this site). Obviously the Americans are stocked first and we get what ever we can.

Welcome to the club. I thought that once Afganistan and Iraq wound down it would be back to normal: not so: The Americans are hoarding everything for themselves because of the Obama Fear Factor. I live in Ontario and it's the same here.

The only powder I use that I really haven't seen in a LONG time is Power Pistol. Everything else I've seen pop up from time to time.

TSE just had a bunch come in in Calgary. I'd like to have more but not running dry just yet.

If you find something you like, order 21 pounds for yourself.. It lasts a long time, and there is no guarantee that it will be available when you want it.

Depends what your looking for, I find IMR 4064/4895 is usually not to hard to find. Vihtavuori isn't to hard to find either. What I find hard to acquire is any powder for my handguns.

Ottawa LeBarons just adopted a 2lbs/person limit for powder sales. I've heard of small shops doing this but first time I've run into it personally.

What are you looking to reload?

I just picked up 2 pounds of IMR-4227 this week. Powder is around, the hard part is finding the powder you want.
