Powder Storage?

Mine are stored in the container they came in on a shelf in my reloading room. No boxes, no coolers, no repackaging, no nothing... just on the shelf. Room has a locked door to keep any unauthorized people out, but from my point of view, anyone who I allow into my house is authorized.

My way of doing it as well.

a sign that displays the words “Danger — Fire Hazard/Risque d’incendie” in letters at least 10 cm high and that prohibits smoking using letters, or a symbol, at least 10 cm high must be posted on the storage unit in a clearly visible location.

So where is this from and what is the context? Does this apply to someone keeping powder in their dwelling? The copy and pasting of a random piece of text is a little vague.

It is from the current regs but only applies to a storage unit which is supposedly defined in section 6 but I can't find said definition in section 6. I suspect they mean an off-site magazine as that is what section 6 is all about. As far as I can tell it does not apply to a storage in a dwelling. See:

and specifically

Cool (I actually knew that) but why post that in this thread? The OP just wants to make sure his powder storage at home is legal. I know you didn't post it but all the post did was add to possible confusion.

Don't know how that is confusing. Now you have the direct legal directives. Read the pertinent parts and you don't need all of our confusing interpretations.

The insurance company angle is concerning. I will have to dig deep in my policy to see if there is any mention of it. However they do allow me to have and use a wood stove.

I called my insurance company (Intact Insurance) to find out about powder storage on Friday. The broker called the underwriter to find out for sure and called me back. It is alright as long as stored in compliance with the laws. That made me feel better.

So the OP is asking about storing powder at his house and you post a random snippet concerning essentially offsite storage and only post a portion which you later say you believe is for an offsite magazine... what part of that do you think is clear? You didn't post the entire regulation, you posted a paragraph of a whole bunch in regards to something that essentially means nothing to the OP and has nothing to do with what he is concerned about. Think about it for a second.

Head back to those links, go to where they take you and read ALL of it. The first one points to the index of the ENTIRE regulations, all of them, the whole enchelada. You can read for days. The second one points to the specific storage regulations pertaining to the OP's question in all their extreme detail. Everything pertinent. Nothing left out. Done with this and done with you.

Where were the links when you initially posted your one-liner? That's right, nowhere to be found. A vague one-liner with no context or reference like I mentioned. Still trying to figure out why you posted a confusing vague copy & paste that has nothing to do with the OP's question other than to further confuse them. And yes, I am done with you. Next time post something that helps and makes sense.
