Has anyone tried both the h4831 and h4831sc? Wondering if there is a noticeable difference. Firing .270 win

None that I've observed. If running the powders through a hopper, the SC powder meters easier, thats about it.

I use the same loads with both.

I also use the same loads for both. I find that the non short cut fills up the case a little better for the same weight so I prefer to use that in my 7mm rem mag. I guess it depends if you have extra room in the cases or not.

Just to confirm what everyone here has said - no practical difference whatsoever. Just take whichever you can find, or whichever meters easier for you.

None ... although a couple of ballistics types at Sierra mention the sc generates a tad more pressure.
