I've been tryin some loads for my 580 Mini using IMR 4895 with several different bullets. 50gr Varmint Grenades, 50gr Silver Tips and 60 gr SPs. They work well in the gun but only the Varmint Granades are getting good accuracy, under 2" groups (using a 3-9 scope).
All three loadings were with 24.0-24.4 gr of powder, Max is 25.5 - 26.5 gr. I find the IMR 4895 not very accurate in my thrower, Does 0.1-0.4 gr range affect accuracy much, in a mini?
I'm seeing dirty necks and shoulders on my fired cases. I'm looking for advice on whether I should use a faster powder like H335, Benchmark, H4198.
