Win 760 works good with 55 grain bullets

I've also had good results with Win 760 in my 22-250. I like the way ball powders measure, plus it seems to give good velocity and accuracy.

I had a remminton varmintor 22-250. The barrel was free floated and the action bedded.

On a non windy day i could shoot less than 1/2 MOA.

I used 39.5 grains of hodgson H380 with a 52 grain SX bullet.

Definitly try the H380

I'm surprised that I don't see any recommendations for IMR-4895. I thought everyone used this powder for their 22-250's? Works great for me.

In fact, there are a whole slew of powders that work well in the 22-250. Many have already been mentioned, but I'll add a couple. Vihtavuori N135, N140; Ramshot TAC; Norma 202, 203B; Accurate 2460, 2520. Winchester 748; H414 [with 55's] probably a couple I've missed. Regards, Eagleye.

I am with you Moon I thought this would be the #1 pick, used it for years in many different 22-250s with 100% great results for accuracy and velocitys, At a charge near Max!

I chronied my 22-250 today with 52 grain Sierra HP over 36 grains of IMR 4064 and got 3722 fps.:) Happy shooter :) ....unhappy varmints....

Just went to the range today with my brand new chrony :)

36.5 gr IMR4064 behind a hornady match HP does 3940fps in my Savage 12BVSS. IMR lists 37.0 gr as a max load for a 50gr bullet

Made me grin like an idiot :D

The president of Hodgson (Bill Hodgson) powders created H380 powder with with the soul pupose for loading the 22.250. Get this, his pet Load was 38grs with a 55 gr bullet. It's no coincidence. I could be a little iffy on the weight of the bullet. But do check your reloading manuals or visit Hodgson website.
