I am trying to reduce the trigger pull weight on my S&W 929 and was hoping that someone can go beyond the basic understanding of how the Power Custom Stoning Jig works as shown in the following videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ6Hb89lVXw and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKHHNr39Er8

From what I understand from the these videos and the instructions, the trigger pull weight can be adjusted. It is not clear if they mean SA or DA. I am mainly interested in the DA pull weight. I started at 20 clicks as suggested and cleaned up the trigger sear as outlined in the video. Since I am interested in lightening the trigger pull, I rotated the rear pedestal up 8 clicks in hopes of seeing a reduction. After assembling the firearm, I didn't really notice much of a difference on the trigger pull gauge. I have repeated this process 3 times now (DA: 7-4oz) and I was wondering if I am doing something wrong or should I just keep rotating the rear pedestal up until I get the results I am looking for (DA: 6.5 lbs)? I have some concerns that I may have stoned off the case hardening. I have already polished the entire insides on the firearm and the trigger feels pretty smooth. I have also tried Wolff and Wilson reduced power main strings but I was getting light strikes.

Good to know. Looking back at the videos, I guess I got confused when Larry said "lighten and smooth the trigger pull" and the other dude obtained a DA trigger pull of 6 -10oz by stoning the sear on a stock revolver. Some times you win with Youtube, sometimes you don't.
