What is the market value of a Walther PP or PPk in mint condition?
Any help is greatly appriciated.
Thank you

If it's 12-6 about $190

If it's been converted to restricted (107mm barrel) and is mint, then between $400 - $500.

I bought mine last month, minty mint, $500 with 3 mags. Not a scratch on it and bluing at 97%.

I have seen folks asking $700 for a rough shape one, don't thik it ever got sold.

PPK/PP are difficult to find but nice ones pop up from time to time.

Matter of fact, I am looking for another one for a friend who fell in love with mine. He offered me $700 for mine, I won't sell it. Check out your local gun shows, they often appear there for fair prices.

Post war production from Ulm...in original 32acp (12/6)

I have a '64 Ulm that in 1986 I paid less than $200 for. German police surplus/trade in it came with a holster and spare mag.

Being 12.6 the value of these pistols is limited to what people are willing to pay for them... I've seen used PP & PPK pstols in the US in good to fair cond. that are priced at $400-$600, but down there they can be bought by way more people... ie. No 12.6 BS

I've paid $600 for a NIB PPKS. I sold it for that before I fired it. Is it a PP or PPK?

I am looking to find out the values for a PP and a PPk...
Somebody told me today, that PP and/or PPk's go for $300 to $400 in Canada assuming they are in mint condition.
What are your thaughts?

Putting a 107mm barrel on a PP/PPK will not change it's 12.6 status.
It's a .32 and therefore 12.6 no matter what.

If I were to put mine up for sale I wouln't expect to get more than a couple hundred bucks for it.
The PP/PPK are not really great shooters. The ammo, if you have to buy factory is expensive and often difficult to find. The 70gr bullet moving at a snails pace probably won't knock over a steel plate or popper :D
If you're looking to buy I think you have to decide what you're willing to pay and take it from there.
You could argue that all 12.6 guns are practically worthless as we all know where they're gonna end up.

you have a good point...about 12,6
however, the reason why I wish to purchase one is: because they are neat little quality guns and because I can....
Ammo is not really an issue, I am reloading for all my firearms, so once I got the components it's a breeze.

That's good to hear you plan on shooting yours.... Even if it means you won't actually be hitting your targets...:D

12-6 & 12-7 handguns

I've got an original Walther PPK.

I have a grandfathered RPAL...........not one of the "children strength" RPALs they're issuing to newbies & kids these days.

Work around (if you don't have a 12-6 RPAL):
An original unmodified "short barrel" Walther PPK can be legally transferred to a non grandfathered RPAL holder as a 12-7 if a parent or grandparent who has a 12-6 RPAL legally acquires the gun & then transfers it to a son or grandson as a family heirloom because the original PPKs have historical significance & were manufactured before 1946.

In otherwords if your daddy has a 12-6 RPAL get him to acquire an original PPK if one is available and then transfer it to you as a 12-7.

If you acquire a "short barrel" as a 12-7 transfer you do not inherit 12-6 grandfathered rights and cannot directly acquire another 12-6 handgun.

I shoot .380ACP 90gr JHP Federal Hydra-Shoks in my PPK which leave the muzzle at 1000fps. At 25 yds the velocity is 950fps with 180ft-lbs of energy.

I intend to use this as my carry gun next summer in the U.S.
At 5 to 15 yds (typical self-defence distances) it will most definately discourage the bad guy from persuing his attempt to do me harm.

A PPK was not intended to knock over a steel plate or a popper, it is meant to knock over a bad guy.

I reload .380, comes to about $0.15/bullet or $7.50/box of 50.

The .380ACP or 9mm Kurz is 9x17mm as opposed to the 9mm Luger which is 9x19mm, a mere 2mm difference in length.

With a set of coco bolo wood grips which fatten it up a bit, makes it more comfortable to shoot.

Oh, and as for the fate of 12-6's... once we win CCW in Canada, it will effectively $hit-can the 12-6 classification. And even if it doesn't, my PPK which used to be 12-6 but is no longer, will never see the smelter!

Wow!..............that thing looks like a PPK with an "erection".

In a self defense situation that "horny" PPK of Griffs works by causing the perpetrator to break into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.

My US carry gun is an almost new S&W Model 36 .38 SPL +P, 5 shot revolver with a 3" barrel. I fire 125 grain +P or 158 grain +P JHPs from it and it's a strong, accurate, dependable little gun with a lot better ballistics than a .32 ACP or .380 ACP.

I can completely hide it with the spread palm of one hand.

Just like it's owner! :eek::eek::eek:

It is also good as a marital aid... just call me Bond, James Bond. Now the wife wants me to buy an Aston Martin.

I dunno... I've always thought adding long barrels to 12.6 shorties was a bit ghey, but if it saves a gun from being melted into manhole covers I guess it's not complete blasphamy. :D
