PP19 bizon at home?

The KP-9 is an easy-to-operate AK-style pistol that works on a blowback operating system.

From the video:
It is actually a KP-9 reciever blah blah blah....

AK Variant. Prohib.

You are not seeing it on Armalytics because these guns don't have an FRT issued. Probably because anyone with half a braincell knows they're not going to get approved and thus there is no reason to submit a sample to the lab for classification.

Even if the CPC reverses the OIC bans this will still be prohibited. They will need to pass legislation to take the AK47 and variants off the Prohib list, so I wouldn't be holding my breath. Even if they reverse the OiCs and repeal C71 and C21 I personally can't see them making the AK47 legal... But who knows... If they truly adopt a simplified classification system and leave only full auto as prohibited then maybe one day...

did the LPC ban the AK via legislation? In 1998 it was done via regulation being prescribed as prohibited, so unless that has changed since then the Governor in Council can potentially revoke ALL OICs in entirety on day 1. This could include any and all prescribed prohibited and restricted weapons and converting to NR or R based on the legislation alone. This would accomplish a decent chunk of the simplified classification system without even needing parliament to sit yet

Hmmmm you make a good point. I think you might be right on that, it appears the AK was banned via Prohibited Weapons Order 13, which was an OiC.

So then the only stuff they can't un-ban might be the SAN and CZ858 rifles? Or are there other rifles banned by legislation I'm not thinking of?

I cant seem to find anything in legislation about that, it looks like it also may be regulatory. I believe there were a lot of elements of the proposed C21 bill that didnt pass that included these things. They were not able to cement this as bad as we thought initially

C71 from 2019 covers SAN and CZ858 rifles IIRC.

If Pierre actually follows through the only thing that makes actual sense is nuking it all and starting over. While he is at it remove the absurd prohibitions around certain knives and goofy ninja equipment.
agreed but day 1 OICs, day 1 when you can actually table legislation this should be in the top 10. Ideally higher but beggars cant be choosers

it is so hard to find clear information without just reading the bill, i just get absolutely flooded with results from 2020 until now. I guess it doesnt really matter if the RCMP have it classified as converted automatic if it was not prescribed as prohibited. Thats another hurdle if they do not add the ability to prescribe as NR and do so

Under C71, or a prior act, they codified most of the original OIC's (the AR ban) so that needs to be repealed. It wouldn't be a huge stretch with a super majority and the Senate can only hold it up for so long

Wrong.

C71 was 2019, before the 2020 OiC ban. Any prior act would also predate said ban.

C21 ATTEMPTED to legislate the OiC ban, but that was part of the late stage amendments that also banned a bunch of new stuff which were scrapped before the bill passed.

I saw the KP-9 at SHOT Show 2018...so cool
