PPC 3 Gun Matches

Guys you are getting into a whole bunch of suppositions that are not correct. I have not put up the rule book and if I did a lot of the arguments would be gone. Here is an example the 5 rounds in a semi shotgun is what the barrel states, we have people running the Versa max and the 930 Mossberg with more than 5 2 3/4 shells . Precision component you can run a gun with a barrel longer than 20 inch (precision has a seperate rule book ). The name Multi Gun Canada came from discussions that intent was to promote it across Canada and each Province it would take into account , club rules as to what was allowed and what your CFO is okay with. Each match the match director can still decide for example slings, no slings , steel rifle targets what ever you are allowed. The rule books are the basic rules in place and it is a living document and changes as the sport grows and equipment changes . The intent was to build a foundation that would grow and adapt but bottom line was to have fun using up 4 guns in a match and lots of shooting.

I like 3 gun and would like to learn more about this but I am a bit confused as well. What do you mean "5 rounds in a semi is what the barrel states?" One poster said it was five rounds max and now you're saying some people have over five rounds. How many rounds are you allowed in your rifle?

I don't really like the idea of a gun club implementing magazine capacity rules because if anyone ever tries to have magazine capacity laws repealed on account of the fact that it's restrictive for action shooting someone will point out a club like this and say they agree five rounds is enough so five is enough.

The 3 gun club I shoot at is very relaxed with regards to equipment rules. People shoot very non-duty firearms like SKS's and use hunting shotguns. I would still participate regardless of equipment restrictions as I love action shootong sports.
