Ppk, Ppk/s? Update with PICS!

I sold a Beretta Model 70 to a guy who came here from South Africa. He swore by the little .32acp. He said it saved his life more than once.
I would want some good HP +p ammo for it.

I don't think I will have to worry as all I'm allowed to do to a home invader is throw my safe keys at him.:D

My USA connection is well known, I thought. But sure, I'll bite. I'm talking out my ass. :p Go Team Thirty-Two! :dancingbanana:

Anyways, this is getting off topic. That is still a nice PPK/S.

Nice gun by the way. Try getting it back into Canada. ;) Anyhow, who would CCW with a .32?

Good question, those who can put a bullet where it is effective. :p

I have not shot a PPK or PPK/s yet but I would think the PPK/S would be more enjoyable. I've got a Colt Mustang. Only 380 ACP but not a lot of fun to shoot with the short grip.

Actually the 32 will do the job with decent ammo, and the little Walthers are nice guns. I have a 380 PPK that is scary accurate for a pocket pistol, and 3 or 4 small Colts in 32 and 380 that are just easy to tuck in a pocket. I know everyone thinks they are going to wear all thier combat gear and multiple 45s for CCW, but when it comes down to something you can carry easy, each and every day, even with a bad back, the little autos have a very real place in the dfensive pistol lineup. FWIW - dan

That was my point... [and not to dis Deckard]...;)

I think the .32ACP in something like a Win silvertip or like profile bullet would be on par with the .380 ACP as a "stopper" which has long been considered the "minimum" CCW/personal defense round. No question, there are 'better' ctg choices for the job but the 'measly' .32 ought not to be discounted.

As a sidebar, I've actually seen someone who was shot [illegally, of course] with a .32ACP. Pistol was a Colt pocket auto. Single shot. Made him stop what he was doing and run away [fear of more shots to come, I suppose]. Guess he thought that the .32 was a 'lightweight', too as he did not seek [medical] assistance right away. Not that would have helped him. Within minutes the fellow was dead, a short distance away. The guy that shot him was caught, charged with murder & convicted [of 'manslaughter' if I recall]. The ammo used was 71 grain ball but it had torn thru a major organ and he had bled out internally.

Rudy - Not that also is a nice pocket auto!!! :dancingbanana:

I got my Walther PPK/S from weimajack and what can I say? And it doesn't say Interarms anywhere!
It fits my little sausage fingered hands perfectly, it is absolutely MINT. I don't think I would want the grips to be any shorter.

I thought about that but it says Made In West Germany on the slide so I assume it's the real thing.

Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do are post war manufactured and have the location of the post war plant "Ulm" marked on them

This is no problem as long as you have your form 6 paperwork done. It would be a great little carry gun, but .32 wouldn't be my first choice in calibers. If I was carrying it I'd be trying to find a couple of boxes of winchester silvertips fast, hard ball just pokes little holes in people and makes em made.

Nice pistol, new in box, decent price!

i would give my left and right nut, for that ppks, your one lucky guy, congrats. enjoy and shoot as many times as you can.
