Hello

Sorry, this has likely been posted before...

Looking at getting a pistol shortly and narrowed my choices to a SFP 9 or the PPQ M2

Both are great guns from what I've read & seen and the internet machine seems to be split about 50-50 on which one is better

Looking for some helpful opinions.....

I was where you were a year ago. I went with the HK. It felt better in my hands. My brother has the PPQ, and I compared. Both are very nice. I love my SFP9!

I went with the PPQ M2 5" because it was ~$100 less expensive. I loved the SFP9 and it was a close call. Not that I've had to test this yet, but the PPQ is also probably easier to get parts for in Canada.
So far I am very happy with the PPQ. Magazines are plentiful, holsters are easy to find, and there are several aftermarket parts available to Canadian consumers.
Just be aware that if you go with the 5" model, upgrading the front sight to an aftermarket sight is a bit of a nightmare since it seems aftermarket PPQ M2 sights are designed with the 4" model in mind.
The stock sights are key and slot design with a tiny allen screw in the middle to provide friction, so it's easy to remove and replace, but with the Trijocon HD night sights at least, the PPQ models use same hex screw as a Glock. The issue is that recessed area underneath the sight is not in line with the access hole on the bottom of the slide extension on the 5" model so you can't actually get the hex driver or glock tool to engage it. My experience at least.
