Thinking about buying a PPQ in 9mm, but want to make an informed decision

Are the mags standard cap pinned to 10? or one of those insane single stack that a woman or child wont be able to load more than 4 rounds
My sub 2000 is like that and it is frustrating

Lots of 9mm have goofy barrel dimensions that make running cast difficult, smaller throat than rifling or polygonal rifling
Anyone here running cast in their PPQ?

I have the PPQ .22, and its excellent, anyone have any complaints or run into any quirks with the full sized versions?

I have a PPQ M1. Actually love the paddle release!!

My mags are all 10 rounders, but load fine.

Can't answer about cast.

Have to say, it's my favorite shooter, and I have many!!!

By not being able to load more that four, are you talking about a heavy spring in the mag?

If that's the case then yes the springs are very strong and it takes some man hands to load it, but that's generally the case with any brand new pistol mags until you use them for a couple years.

I have the PPQ M2 Navy, and if you're talking heavy springs it's the actual recoil spring that I find very heavy. My wife can't even cycle the thing.

Still the best striker gun on the market, though.

I dont have any trouble loading, Its a matter of principle, I can use a hammer to put screws in, but why shoud I make something more difficult than it needs to be for no reason?

Also if we dont get a lid on communism here soon Im moving south and in that situation would like to be able to restore them to standard capacity instead of throwing them out

Have no complaints about heavy recoil springs as they prevent the slide from hammering the frame, provide a smoother recoil, and keep it running when dirty

Originally the PPQ had conventional rifling, and seemed pretty short in the throat. I load 147 Campro at 1.135" and they were a shade too long. Those bullets have a pretty porky nose profile though, 124's might not be a problem. The newer production PPQ barrels are polygonal from what I've read, not sure if the throat is still short-ish? Mags I've seen up here are OEM 10-round, not pinned. That said, a lot of the PPQ's here came in through I Run Guns and have pinned 10/15 mags.

Sold an M1 Navy last week, bought an M2 5" this week. I had no intention of doing so, but the PPQ is that good. It is a keeper.

I shot quite a lot of powder coated cast through it. It seemed to not like .358 very much. It would cause the slide to jam shut. .356 seemed to squeek in there nicely... and yes, I tried all sorts of bullet seat depths with a light load to see if I could make her happy at .358

Anyway, long story short... buy one! Best deal out there on the used market.

Have a PPQ M2 5". Getting very upset in a good way. It's shooting more accurate than my X5.
Wouldn't shoot cast through the hexagonal rifling. Great pistol, great trigger. Lots of good polymer
handguns out there....but the paper doesn't lie. If you want accuracy this is the one.

Custom gun accuracy at bargain prices.
The P99 when it came out years ago was very similar. It shot as well as a custom BHP I had build by Cylinder and Slide.
