I'm still getting over the white knukle trip back from Ottawa and putting in far to many hours working but I thought I should post the Prairie Provinces Rifle Championships are on 5, 6 and 7 Sept at Nokomis Sask. I hope some of the MPRA gents can get there. This would be a great opportunity to further discuss Les' F Class match. If BC can get the buggy going, do the PPRA and then the APRA John Howard Palma.
Cheers, Glen

Glen, I will be at the APRA Palma along with 9 other BC Shooters, but you guys gotta put us on a mailing list or something about the matches in Nokomis. A bit too short notice to plan another planes-trains-automobile adventure. Too bad, because I would love to come!!

Hi Ian, I post what I can, when I can or should I say remember to. I usually check out the other PRA's websites and see what's coming up and go from there. The way things are, with so many places to shoot, I guess a guy has to be pretty selective. Personally, after missing all of the western provincials, I'm trying to jam as much in as I can into what remains of the season. I email as many people as I have on the list, unfortunately, a bit late sometimes and for that I appologize.

Cheers, Glen

Hope to see everyone from the three prairie provs out for this one, last one of the year at Nokomis.

The weatherman says for the Alta Agg, 17-27C Saturday with winds SE 5/km to SE 10/km and for the Man. Agg on Sunday,17-31C (and feels like 34C with humidity) with wind SE 30/km with 1-3mm of the wet stuff. Cooler Monday for the team shoots with temp around 15-22C and wind NE 10/km with isolated showers. 50 rounds needed for Sat and 50 for Sunday and 26 for Monday including your 2 fowler's at the start of each day and your convertible sighter's. Registration at 8:30, match starts at 9 am.

Probably going to take my 22 Anshutz out too for the close ones. Last time out we had gophers running across guys legs on the 900 and 1000 yd lines.

Bring your camera if you want match results, Chuck is doing the score keeping.

Sorry Glen I won't be there to debate my proposed match with you. Family and other obligations got in the way.

As it stands, I am still proceeding with the match. Right now everything is in a holding pattern until DND decides whether or not to play ball with me. Once they make a decision I'll have more to post.

So Keith ... any pics of the results??? LOL

Strange to have a strong wind out of the west on Saturday and a stronger one out of the east on Sunday. Haven't seen that before - my windage knob only wants to move left, not right!

One of the best PPRA turn outs in years!
27 guys in total and 21 guys staying for the Monday Team shoot.

7 guys from Manitoba (4 TR, 2 fo, 1 FF)
7 guys from Sask (poor local turn out, 5 TR, 1 FO, 1 FF)
