I would love to own a ppsh 41, i am contemplating buying a deac unit but I remember coming across a post regarding a reproduction model that was going to possibly be imported as a Non Restricted. Does anyone know anything about that? I want one or something that resembles one SO bad..

TNW made a semi auto version from the old wiselite tooling I think it was. They were building them for MGS
Unfortunately none were imported to Canada, all we got was the kp-31 Suomi semi auto
It’s a real shame as I really would like one!
Sometimes they pop up on gunbroker but they are ridiculously priced
I was going to build one from a tnw reciever but I’ve been getting conflicting info as to what part is the actual reciever and trying to find the rest of the parts is difficult
Lots of parts in the US but IRG and Prophet say they can’t bring em in
There supposedly is a non restricted and a restricted FRT number for the tnw ppsh-41

Thanks for that info! I guess we can only hope that they land up north here someday.. I have no idea how gunbroker works, if I were to find one on gunbroker, does a company like I run guns finalize the deal? And how do they import the firearm if it’s select fire?

If its CA you DONT/CANT import they will never land up here as they are no longer made UNLESS a civie imports one themselves of course that may involve controlled goods AND will go to RCMP labs for a few years before they say its prohibited or NOT if they say prohib its destroyed or re-exported you cant have it.

I have one, but it's a CA, so it would have to be de-activated, and that would probably be more trouble than it's worth, considering that it would have to be done to new specs, i.e. made into an ingot. I'm not even sure what the procedure would be. Maybe ship it to a gunsmith who is authorized to do the work, he then ships it to the RCMP, and they decide whether to eventually send it on to the buyer?
