practical use for SKS bayonet ?

My "brother in law" allegedly has a friend who hit a deer in a park at night. He didn't want to fire off a round and arise suspicion so he used his bayonet to finish it off.

Not my word, just a story.

My best friend got a non restricted cz-858 and took it deer hunting. he definetly got some funny looks and accused for "hunting with a machine gun" lol

Fuds are bad m'kay...I have used it as a monopod. On my 858 I find the bayonet helps keep the muzzle down on double-taps, if I remember to bring it.

When using as a monopod, be careful that thing doesnt swing up in front of the muzzle!!!

In general i think the bayo is very handy, to stick your rifle in a stump, or terra firma, when you need to free up your hands. Of course, the deer will be watching you, and waiting just for this opportunity to prance past...

There is also a way to use the bayonet to get a two hole group in any target, no matter how many shots you fire! (cant seem to shrink that group no matter how hard i try...)

Ha - wasnt with my SKS - my first milsurp was a Lee Enfield with one of those 16 inch or so blade bayonets. when I got back to Thunder Bay, i showed it to a buddy of mine who I went to school with. He was sitting on the couch and jumped up with the rifle and bayo attached - and promptly drove the bayo through the gyprock ceiling of my apartment....

Land lord never saw that one when I left!

I have a dent in my kitchen ceiling from a claymore somebody brought to a party once.
