Anyone direct me to some guides for a southern Sask. prairie dog hunt?

The standard answer, "knock on doors". However, in your case since you're in Bantario its not a plausible solution.
I hunted around the Swift Current area on a huge farm we had an invite to from another member of CGN. However his name escapes me. You have to get there before the crops start up and before it gets too hot.

Maybe some Sk. members will chime in here.

It is relatively easy to find good shooting for ground squirrels in Saskatchewan,but for prairie dogs,you need to go south of the border.

As allready stated by stubblejumper. I think most of the prairie dogs are in the national park in south west Sask. Are you talking about prairie dogs or ground squirrels aka gophers?----Cowboy

There are prairie dogs in Sask but you'll only find them in the Grassland park. You may be lucky and find some near Val Marie, lots of easy access but Ive never heard of any being found.

Go south my friend...more prairie dogs in Montana and South Dakota than you could shoot in a lifetime.
