I have located some Swiss 2F ( 2 pounds ) in a little shop in Montreal and 200 rounds balls 530 dia 230 gr + musket cap ( 200 ) in a big surface store in Mtl, not only the pope will see the white smoke... JP.

And just found on a non dealer site the nicestt Daniel Boone style leather sling ( the one that protect the stock ) for my Hawken 54 cal... JP.

I think you did well on that deal, great looking rifle and all the accessory's are a bonus.
Just curious about what happened in 1978 that makes the earlier one more desirable, it reminds me of the pre 64 thing with Winchester 94's is it a similar situation???

What make this one desirable is mainly that a trade rifle was the entry level one but betwen 75 and 78 the people rifle was set up like the big boys Hawken, full brass trimings, patchbox, double set trigger and top quality wood, adjustable spring loaded rear sight for set up to 400 yards, when i saw it, i called right away, not to often you can put your hand on one of those, i am full happy of my catch, not many of those in circulation in this condition and all the equipments with it is a real bonus... Just sent an email to Lyman, asking for all the possible infos on that beauty, will share those infos with you guys... JP.

Investarm made guns for a lot of companys . Safari Arms is one we see lots. Many/most of the Lyman and Safari Arm, and Churchill muzzle loaders can be seen on the Investarm site with Investarm model numbers. I have several safari Arm models and they all have been very good, and have very good looking Wood on them.

When it get here, i will do so, only infos i got is from an american site they were explaining that the trade rifle had been offer with the full triming from 75 to 78, but i will make sure to get the full story on it... JP.... JP.
