Pre 64 Win M70 .30-06

Hmmmm... nice looking piece here. Pre 64 (1959) Win 70 standard grade in .30-06, about 80% blue. Bore is very nice, no issues. A buddy and I are trying to get together on a value but neither of us or experts and we want to be fair to each other... any suggestions?

$950 give or take a hundred. Stock looks refinished to me.

The stock looks to have been refinished. You don't show pics of the triggerguard/floorplate screws either.

I'm not an expert on pre 64 Winchester Mod 70s by any means but in the condition the pics show, $700. If the stock screws are galled, $600, maybe less.

Thanks gents! Stock is definitely refinished, my bad for omitting that. Funny, I took a rough guess and that's what I came up with the same price as 9.3mauser... BB value is $650, hard to parse that into the Canadian market though.

Probably on the strong side of fair but not unreasonable. The refinish looks to have been well done and on a standard grade M70 that's not the end of the world.
