Pre 81 BLR recoil pad

Hello all, I have a pre 81 BLR that is in need of a recoil pad, but is in otherwise outstanding condition... wondering if
1- the stocks on the “type 81” BLR are the same as the pre 81 steel receiver ie: same dimensions where the recoil pad would mount or...
2- anyone know of a company that makes fitted recoil pads for these rifles

I did already email western gun parts, they were of no help, and referred to my rifle as obsolete!

Have a gunsmith fit a new recoil pad to your stock.
Easily done from someone capable.

Check limbsaver web site. You can download all the size templates and print them off to see if one matches your rifle.

Kick-Eeze makes pre fit butts.
Some fit nicely, t'uthers are a wee bit out.
I would imagine the history of the stock would have an
effect on fitment.
