Pre 81 Browning Lever Action 308

Hey everyone. I am new to the site and also new to hunting. My father in law is gifting me with a Pre81 Browning Lever action 308. He only used it for target shooting and is in great condition. Anyone have expierence with a 1970 gun? Will it still make for a good alberta hunting rifle?

Na , they are crap .but I would buy it off you ...LOL..actually they are a really nice rifle for hunting. Just don't misplace the mag as they are hard to find.

They are great rifles..........just don't lose the mag or you'll be in for an

i have owned several pre 81's. my opinion nicest blr made. decent triggers just don't loose the mag as they are very pricey.

you are going to love it, believe me! I won't mention about the mag

Just don't misplace the mag as they are hard to find.

.... and very expensive to replace. I understand they go for over $200 in good condition if you can find one.
