Pre-B CZ75 Hammer Spring Removal

Anyone done this? I assume you relieve the hammer spring pressure by pushing on the lanyard ring and then push the retaining pin out, but mine won't budge. I don't think beating on the retaining pin without relieving the hammer spring pressure is a good plan.

I have a Pre-B and have done this. I used a punch to tap the pin out. While the punch is still holding the lanyard ring push out the upper pin on the mag brake. Then push on the lanyard ring and pull out the punch. You'll have to push on the lanyard ring to get the mag break out of the lanyard ring. It's that easy.

Two things. First off the magwell shield pinches/wedges against the plunger at the base. So I remove it before trying to remove the cross pin. Second is to relieve the pressure by pushing up on the end of the mainspring plunger. If yours has a lanyard ring attached to the plunger than it should be pretty easy to put pressure on it. Otherwise you'll need a punch or something held in a vise to apply the pressure as you use something to push the pin out.
